Next week (May 11th), after two years of being hosted online, the ‘TUCK IN’ marketing masterclass for Welsh food and drink producers will, once again, be held in person.
Now in its fourth year, the ‘TUCK IN’ masterclasses have always brought together a wealth of expertise and experience from across the marketing spectrum.
The venue for year’s ‘TUCK IN’ is Soughton Hall, Northop near Mold in Flintshire.
The event has been organised by the Food & Drink Wales Fine Food Cluster in collaboration with the Food & Drink Wales Industry Board.
The host of the event will be Tee Sandhu, co-founder of Pontyclun-based vegetarian and vegan meal and condiments producer SamosaCo.
He said,
“I am extremely proud to be hosting TUCK IN this year, especially as a live physical event. I’m really excited to see new and old faces within the Welsh food and drink scene and bring businesses together after a difficult and rollercoaster two years.”
The day will feature presentations by keynote speakers, including David Evans, co-founder & CEO of Dylan’s Restaurant Ltd; Lucy Busk, co-founder of NICE, a Future Wine Company; and Clare Stansfield, marketing manager at Puffin Produce. Speaking too will be Ed Williams, co-founder of confectionary company Candy Kittens; Andy Allen, CEO and partner at plant-based delivery brand Biffs; Andrew Walker, client knowledge director for Kantar Worldpanel; and Emma Heal, managing director of alcohol-free beer company Lucky Saint.
Presentations include topics such as ‘Opportunity through diversification in turbulent times’, ‘Why building killer awareness through distribution is the best form of marketing’, ‘Root zero, the UK’s first carbon neutral potato’, ‘How do you launch a sweet company without any sweets?’, ‘From streets to the shelves – lessons learned from turning a street food business to a national grocery product brand’, and ‘Building a purpose led business.’
Emma Heal of Lucky Saint said,
“I’m excited to speak at TUCK IN on May 11th and share our learnings of how building and marketing a purpose led business helped us become the UK’s #1 dedicated alcohol-free beer.”
There will also be the opportunity to book one-to-one sessions with leading industry experts to discuss brand marketing.
Taking part will be broadcaster and chair of the Great Taste Awards Nigel Barden; Harriet Williams, PR director at McCann Manchester; Lucy Busk of NICE; and Andy Allen of Biffs.
The one-to-one sessions offer a valuable insight into the importance of effective branding and how it can make all the difference to getting products and services seen and sourced by potential customers.
Andy Richardson, Chair of the Food & Drink Wales Industry Board, commented,
“TUCK IN is an inspirational event, helping Welsh food and drink companies to drive their marketing forward to develop UK and international markets. It is “must attend” event.”
